Briefly on Zhanzhuang & Yiquan
Zhanzhuang is also known as “Post Standing”, “Pile Standing”, “Standing Pole”, “Standing Practice”, “Standing Meditation”, “Stand like a tree”, etc. Yiquan(意拳), a Chinese traditional martial art, has preserved the origin of Zhanzhuang and developed it as the fundamental part of its training system.

Yiquan Zhanzhuang are generally divided into two categories: Parallel-step stances (introduced in the Basic Zhanzhuang Course.) and Combat-step stances (introduced in the Advanced Zhanzhuang Course). For the names, Parallel-step stances = Health Stances, Combat-step stances=Combat Stances.

The health and combat stances can both be expanded to increase the difficulty for the experienced practitioners. The expanded combat stances can be transformed to the Special Stances – the Tiger Stance, the Dragon Stance, and the One-legged Stance.
After completing the course, you will know how to practice and gradually master the Special Stances.
I filmed this course with my disciple, Hosh. He did his best to demonstrate each lesson, while I offered corrections and feedback along the way. This should give you more to reference. Enjoy the course!
